After spending periods in Majorca and the north of England, he moved to Australia in 1995, where he now lives with his wife and numerous animals in the wonderfully named valley Promised Land. Colin can’t think of a better name for a place to live. Colin is best known as a writer and illustrator of children’s books. Since 1991, he has written over 70 books which have been published in many countries all over the world. His main source of inspiration is his childhood: I grew up as an only child in a very quiet house with my grandparents and a very bad-tempered cat. I spent hours inventing imaginary worlds and then drawing them. I still visit those worlds today, as you can see from my pictures.
