Many people find the mental battle more gruelling, and often more long-lasting than the treatment itself, not helped by on-going stigma surrounding mental health.
Many people expect that once treatment is over, you ``should`` ping back to your old self and no longer have anything to worry about, and it can be hard to explain your feelings.
Self-care, therapy, accessing support networks, exercise, and just knowing that you are not losing your mind and that this is a very normal part of life with and after cancer are key. As is not being afraid to ask for help if you need it.
